Rose Island Pig Excursion (Shared)

The famous swimming pigs live just offshore — ten to twenty-five minutes by boat from the Nassau marina, across water so clear you can watch the bottom the whole way out. At Rose Island the pigs come to meet the boat. You swim beside them in the shallows, feed them, and get the photographs everyone at home will demand. Then the island is yours: white-sand beach time, and snorkelling over the reef for anyone who wants to see what lives beneath the surface. The excursion runs as a half day for groups of ten or more, with children aged five to twelve at the reduced rate. It's one of the most requested trips in the Bahamas, so book ahead of your travel dates. Two departures a day, and they run different lengths. The 9:30 AM boat is the full four-hour version: check in at 8:45 AM (Señor Frog's, for cruise passengers) or 9:00 AM (our dock across from Waterloo), on Rose Island by 9:50, beach time from 10 until 2, back in Nassau around 2 PM. The 11:30 AM boat is the shorter three-hour version: check in at 11:00 AM at the same spots, and you're back by 3 PM. Same pigs, same beach, just less time on the sand.
